Chechersk

Chechersk is a small town in 70 km to the north of Gomel.

The town of Chechersk was first mentioned in chronicles in the 12th century. It is situated near the confluence of the River Chechera and the River Sozh. This territory was chosen for inhabitance as early as in ancient times. The town was probably founded at the site of an ancient hamlet, which grew into a settlement with planned structure, typical of the towns of the 12-13th centuries.

In September 2004 Chechersk celebrated its 845th anniversary. Alexander Pushkin visited the town on his way from exile, Ekaterina II participated in opening of the Saint Transfiguration Church, and at a later date she also met here with Count Rumiantsev. Nikolai II also visited Chechersk. Chechersk Count Zakhariy Chernyshov even established a serf theater at the town hall.

I visited the city twice and I want to tell you about my experiences.

What you should look into Chechersk?

You must to see the town hall. It is very unusual. Five town halls remained in Belarus but in Chechersk Hall has the most unusual. It has five towers, that are made of wood.

"The heart of Belarus"

The song "Heart of Belarus" was composed by Darya Nadina. Darya Nadina, Alina Molosh and Karina Zhukovich are students of Svetlana Statsenko, the distinguished worker of culture, artistic director of Vladimir Mulyavin National Center of Music Arts.

Belarus’ trio of Daryya Nadzina, Alina Molash and Karyna Zhukovich won the sixth place at the 2008 Junior Eurovision song contest held in Cyprus on November 22.

This is a translation of the song.

White currants, cornflower in the field.
I know every ear in my homeland.
Clear skies lit up in the river bottom
Many interesting things are in the world, but Belarus is the sole.
Chorus
Na-na, na-na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na,
I'm very proud of you,
Na-na, na-na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na,
My native Belarus.

Since 2008, the song became a favorite of the people. She often performed at concerts, at festivals, schools. In our school, her singing girl Nastya. I saw Nastya's performance in summer 2013 in Slutsk. The whole audience was singing with the girl: Na-na-na-na! My native Belarus!
The song is very positive, fun and catchy. Sing  with us!

Embroidery on... wood

Material for embroidery can become habitual and canvas, and ... tree . But this work is very heavy. Only one master embroidery on wood there in Belarus. Master Barashkova Anna lives in Minsk .

The most appreciative audience

Yesterday Pedagogical festival was held in our school. 35 guests came to school to attend classes of my colleagues. And my lesson, too. My lesson was the last. All people came to class. I was worried at first, but then the excitement was gone. It happened before the lesson. Do you know why? 3 guests were primary school teachers, 3 guest - geographers, 28 guests - teachers of physics. And only one teacher of Belarusian language!

I talked about the life of the national poet of Belarus - Yanka Kupala. All teachers listened to my story very closely. This is understandable, because they have heard this story for the first time. The lesson was great!

At the end of the lesson, I invited the children to play games online - games for the lesson, of course. I created this game two days ago. First, my students were playing on the interactive whiteboard. Then the oldest teacher stood up and asked to play too! Then other teachers of physics came to board! I was so happy! I have not seen such an appreciative audience!
