Today, 29 July 2016, the airliner Boeing 737-300 of Airline Belavia has landed in the National airport "Minsk". He painted in the company colors of the most popular in the CIS World Of Tanks game.
Two popular Belarusian companies have joined forces to promote the image of Belarus. On the one hand - the airline "Belavia" - is the largest air carrier of the Republic of Belarus, which is based in the national airport "Minsk" and operates regular flights to 47 airports of 28 countries in Europe and Asia. And on the other - Wargaming - this is one of the world's largest publishers and game developers in the market of free-to-play MMO. The company has Belarusian roots and development center in Minsk. For this they repainted aircraft in unusual colors. The main idea of this project - to show that the game is known all over the world, has been developed in Belarus.
Hurricane was in Minsk region on July 13. Minsk suffered greatly: the streets were flooded, trees fell, the electricity was turned off. The consequences of the hurricane have been eliminated more than a day. I already wrote about the bad weather and its consequences in my blog. But this post will be very special.
A funny picture appeared on the Internet. The boy is bathed in a huge puddle in the yard. Yes, you can say that there are a lot of bacteria in the dirty water and the boy's mother is not looking for the child. Yes it's true. I really hope that the child is not sick. But he will remember this day as the happiest childhood memory)))
Remember your childhood. You will always obey your parents? You've never done anything stupid? Every child has some funny memories of the actions taken in secret from his parents. Remember your childhood. And smile))
I invite you to visit my new page Belarus in puzzles. I gathered here all my puzzles about Belarus. They are divided by labels. For example, "transportation", "architecture", "food", "nature", "culture".

Pesniary (also spelled Pesnyary, Belarusian: Песняры, [pʲesʲnʲaˈrɨ]) was a popular Soviet Belarusian folk rock VIA. It was founded in 1969 by guitarist Vladimir Mulyavin. Before 1970 the band was known under the name Liavony.
Pesniary combined various types of music, but it mostly used Belarusian folklore though often with various psychedelic rock elements and later rock as well.
The band often used lyrics from the famous Russian and Belarusian poets of the past. Pesniary's favourite was Yanka Kupala. The band adapted his poems into stage musicals twice: Pesnia o Dole (Song of Fate, 1976) and Guslar (1980), the latter also released as concept album.
Among their best known song are "Kasiu Jas Kaniushynu", "Belovezhskaya Pushcha", "Belorussiya" and "Alesya".
After band's leader Vladimir Muliavin death in a car accident on 26 January 2003, the original Pesniary split. Currently, three different bands laid claims to be the official descendants of the original "Pesniary" band. They are:
Belarusian State Ensemble Pesniary - state-produced band under Ministry of Culture of Belarus, consisting mostly of young musicians.
"Belorusskie Pesniari" led by former Pesniary saxophonist Uladzislau Misevich
"Pesniari" led by former Pesniary vocalist Leanid Bartkevich.
All three keep touring and performing original Pesniary songs.
It's just a video presentation about the museum. The film was made without explanation, it shows a collection of the museum: the history of the town, unique woven rushniks of Neglyubka, ancient handwritten books and others
As I have said, from July 1, Belarus introduces new notes and coins into circulation. This reminder will help you cope with the difficulties of translation of old banknotes with new ones. I recall that until January 1, 2017, all banks and shops in the country will take the old bills and new.
Special application for phones have been developed in Belarus. If you are going to visit my country during the transitional period (from 1 July 2016 to 31 December 2016), I recommend you install this application to simplify the work with new and old bills.
Maybe there are collectors among my readers? Maybe you are a tourist and you are going to visit Belarus? Pay attention to these dolls (Kupalinka and Vasilinka) in the Belarusian clothes. You can see the price of a souvenir on this photo (before / after denomination)
On May 18, Minsk, National History Museum opened an exhibition of the photographer Marina Batyukova "Sula. Inseparable. " This large-format color photographs of women in national costumes on buildings dedicated to folk ritual "Funeral of an arrow (Sula)."
On the eve of the 71st anniversary since the Great Victory day I would like to extend my greetings to everyone who did their best to near that very moment: the veterans to have shed their blood on the battlefields, the workers of the rear who toiled to produce the battle-front supplies. I bend my knees to honor those participants of the dreadful war who are no longer with us today.
Noone is forgotten, nothing is forgotten! Happy Victory Day!
Okay, I don't know what to write in this post.//
It occurs to me the first time. Singer from Belarus this year was in the center of the scandal all the time. As it turned out, this was carefully directed by Victor Drobysh (produser). I do not doubt)) Thus, the Belarusian singer Ivan will appear on the Eurovision stage naked (what???) and together with the wolves (OMG!!). Wolves and naked singer are just a hologram. Oops. Fans of the singer, probably disappointed, but I'm not.
I like the chorus only in the song "Help you fly". Maybe the performance on the stage would be the best? You can watch the video of the second rehearsal of Ivan on the Eurovision stage.
And a bonus. I found some weird videos on YouTube. On my opinion Ivan looks like an idiot. Maybe you will have a different opinion?
In any case, let's look at the performance of Ivan in the second semifinal. Belarus stands at number 5. If you enjoy the performance of Ivan vote for Belarus!
According to a press release dated 5 November 2015, the Belarusian ruble will be redenominated per an Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus No.450 dated 4 November 2015. A total of seven denominations of banknotes–5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 rubles–and eight denominations of coins–1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 copecks, and 1 and 2 rubles–will be be introduced on 1 July 2016.
The general concept of the new notes is “Belarus is my country,” with each denomination dedicated to one of the regions of Belarus and the city of Minsk: 5 rubles dedicated to Brest region, 10 rubles to Vitebsk region, 20 rubles to Gomel region, 50 rubles to Grodno region, 100 rubles to Minsk region, 200 rubles to Mogilev region, and 500 rubles to the city of Minsk.
From 1 July 2016 to 31 December 2016, the banknotes of the 2000 series and the banknotes and coins of the 2009 series will be in parallel circulation and subject to obligatory acceptance without restriction in all kinds of payments performed by all economic entities. During the next five years–from 1 January 2017 through 31 December 2021–the currency units of the 2000 series will be exchanged for the currency units of the 2009 series in any sum without restriction and charging commission, after which time the 2000 series will be deemed invalid and demonetized.
I apologize to you, my readers, for my long absence. One nasty morning I left the house, I broke my ankle on the steps. Almost a month I was in the hospital, doctors did two operations.
But yesterday I got home!
Unfortunately, I still can not walk. The doctor had forbidden me to step on the foot for three months. So I'm learning to walk with crutches. There are a lot of stairs in my block of flats, and I can not walk up the stairs (((. But I can order food online)))
Anastasia Verenchikova (school №33, Gomel) takes part in the international competition of school projects on energy saving - SPARE. She created a cartoon of plasticine about energy savings.
Results of the first (national) stage will be announced on 1 March. Video Clips, which collected the highest number of likes on YouTube, will take place in the second stage. Please help this movie! Give Your Like!
Well, meet Ivan, a representative of my country. I try to evaluate his song now, but I can not. Maybe time will put everything in its place. Maybe the song needs refinement, or new arrangement? I dont know. But in this version, this song has not found an echo in my heart. OK, I'll wait and I listen to this song again in the spring. I hope that the Belarusian producers will help Ivan to become more charismatic and this song will also look decent.
Incidentally, Ivan is a pseudonym. Singer's name is Alexander Ivanov, and he was born and grew up in Gomel. Alexander won several music competitions and now it has an pseudonym. It's a cross between Aivengo and Belarusian Ivan. Produced by the singer talking about it)
Well, I hope that Ivan will be able to get into the finals.
I did not want to write about the crisis in Belarus, but the circumstances are stronger than me. You probably heard in the news that Belarus has introduced a new law in 2016. Entrepreneurs must have a certificate for their products, they have no right to sell without certificates. I will not write my point of view here. I will say only one thing: 90% of entrepreneurs do not come to work on 1 January and do not work so far. I see closed shops everywhere in the markets. Employers pay a tax to the treasury before. But now they do not work and no one pays taxes. I think the money in the budget will soon run out.
Another reason for my sadness was the falling of USD. On Thursday 22 January, it rose 2,000 BLR for two hours. People say that the Belarusian ruble fell following the Russian ruble. OK, everything is possible. So when I got my salary I spent it at the store on those things, which I had long dreamed of. I thought, no one knows what the price of products and goods will be tomorrow.
I feel a lack of confidence in my future. But I will not write any more about it. I do not want to panic. Maybe my country find a way out?
I will not lie if I say that my country has been completely captured by snow cyclone. Yes, there was a big snow these days. But it is usual for the winter, is not it? people are accustomed to snowless winter, but this year is not like the year before.
There was a lot of snow but the people in Gomel quietly doing their job. The first time I took my new white umbrella in the snow these days. It was very warm and cozy under my big umbrella. Yes, I know that there was no electricity in the villages. But rescuers and emergency services help people.
January 16, I went to school, like I go to school every morning. There was one slight difference: my feet sank into the ankle-deep drifts. But road services cleared the streets in a few hours.
Also my students were very happy. They run and play in the street between lessons. They came to the school in wet cloth from the snow and their eyes shone with happiness. I think: this winter is needed each year)))
And Gomel has become a very beautiful and festive after cyclones. These are photos "Gomel after the cyclone." They are taken from site http://gomel.today/
I was away from my home town before the New Year. And I could not see the holiday town, unfortunately. This video is not perfect, and I know it. But it's exactly the mood before the holiday. I know that people decorate their homes and streets for Christmas. In Belarus, people live much poorer than in Western Europe. But we want to make a holiday. Therefore, people decorate the city with the money that they have.
